im going from 5 to 10, and I have a long first name.

I am changing it, even though i really dont like the name - but i love my FH and want his name. I don't have a middle name, so I am going to use my maiden name as my middle name. (hyphenating is out of the question, two italian last names dont sound good together!!)

for the time being i think i want to keep my nice long greek last name Hes german and he has a pretty long name too but I dont know.... maybe after we have kids I will.

yes italian to spanish name...but FH doesnt have one drop of spanish in him so its kinda weird for him to have a spanish name

I'm mostly italian - but have a french last name

He's mostly italian - but has an irish/scottish last name!

So I'm going from an 8 letter difficult french name to a common 5 letter Mc___. Easy enough!

I absolutely HATE my new last name its more than 10 letters and I really fell bad for my children. Which is why I'm opting for the hypen.

FH and i are both 50% italian....both on the mothers side.......our customs and way we were brought up as well! and have horrible German last names.....im just going from bad to worse!

I can relate, both FH and I are half Irish and half German. I have a pretty plain german last name and now I will have another german last name....ughhh

I am taking his... I like mine though, well I learn to like mine, my whole name is Spanish and I am not but my grandparents are, but I didn't come out looking spanish, and his last night is nice and simple, which I love.. I will probably keep both...

I like his name much better than mine. I'm going from a long Italian name to a 4 letter last name. The only problem is that when you say my new name, it kind of sounds like a porn-star or stripper. FM me if you want to know what it is. It's kind of funny.

I am definately changing mine to FH's. I'm so excited I like his last name .... but it is a bit long .. my last name is 4 letters and his last name is 9 letters, plus my first name is 9 letters too ... so im gonna have a LONNNGG name - but thats ok, I still like his last name better than mine
