I'm still in search of my reception hall and, though I keep looking, I still come back to this one place. For the most part, everything is perfect (excellent food, FH loves the place, guests will have fun and it is unique). BUT the one deterrance is you couldn't have the colors that you wanted because of the color of the space, would you still go for it?
I always wanted a fall wedding with earthy colors. This space would definitely not accomodate this as the rug and curtains are a mauvy pink. It's not 'ugly' but not what I've pictured, if that makes sense.
It is still on the consideration list of places to get married...but I'm just curious if anyone else has picked a place that they weren't happy with the decor and, if so...how did you deal with it?

I went to the Venetian Yacht Club this week to see the renovations. The place still has the same look which my fiance and I love. The room downstairs has all the new colors. Supposely some of the new renovations will be done in the next three weeks. Are you nervous with the renovations?

Initially I freaked out - but I've calmed down because it's out of my hands. I'll see it when it's done and if I don't like it, that is when I can deal with it. I'm sure the first freak out will have been over nothing when the work is completed.

Everyone keeps telling me to relax they are only going to make the place better not worse. I get so many compliments on the place. I do hope we are all happy. My friend got married there last January the place looks amazing in the winter. You will have a beautiful day!!
