I think it's nice- ours is the standard 'Mr. and Mrs. **** request the honor of your presence' yadda yadda. But ours is a tri-fold invite, and there's a quote on the middle panel. We chose 'When two people are in love, they look not at each other, but in the same direction.' That's not the exact quote- it's by the author of The Little Prince. I forgot his name and we haven't picked up our invites yet. Hope this helps.

That's not too long at all. Since I made mine, I was able to space it however I wanted it, and our quote was centered at the top of the invitation with a space between it and the actual invite wording.
Our quote is 'What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.'
