I like my first name.. i use to hate it when I was young b/c my cousin who is a year older is Shannon and it would get me sooo mad. Now we are like best friends - My family often calls me 'baby shannon' since i am the baby of the fam. Fh name is plain. steve--- i was just happy it wasnt chris since I went on a chris kick for a while that ended with a CHRIStos..
I like the name steve... he doesn't want a jr though. He wants first son to be called-- Halen. YEP as in VAN HALEN!!

Not a fan really of 'Frank'..it's just such a 50 year old man name But we call him Frankie since his dad is also Frank, and Frankie I think is cute, but as someone else said FH is totally against it because he had to pay to get things off his credit that weren't his! They didn't care that it made no sense he had a Mortgage at 13! like wth! They only go by name and address not middle initial, or social security number..anyway, yea definitely no more Frank's..so he says for now..lol we'll see if we have on lol

my FH name is carlos .... wayyyy to spanish and common!! .... he HATES IT ... so they wouldn't be named after him. I kinda wanted to named after my dad that passed away whose name was HECTOR but i have a similar problem because i have
2 brothers, 1 grandfather, 1 godfather, 2 uncles, 3 cousins all named HECTOR!!! i HATE it!! im just got lucky i wasnt named hectorina for hectoria!!

I do not like when kids are called the same name as there parents. My brother was Christened with my fathers 1st name but then Dad didn't want the confusion so my brother is now called by his 2nd name.
And my neighbors had the same problem with their family and we knew all of them. There was:
Old Michael, Big Michael, Young Michael, Baby Micheal, Red Michael, Michal John, Michael Reilly.

I like FH's name (Steve, well its actually stephen but no one calls him that). We would never name our child that though. I don't like the idea of Jrs. an neither does he.
As for my name, Elizabeth, I love my name, lol.

My FH's name is so common...so I don't think we're gonna do Jr....
Funny story though, we have the same first and middle initials..
I am M.A.G. now, he is M.A.C. and I was given those names to go after my father and grandfather who are M.A.G and M.A.G. Jr. (I'm the middle child though, my brother didn't get the M.A. initials for some reason)
We are thinking of switching around the middle and first to be Anthony Michael or going for a change and using another name that is already in the family....

FH's grandfather is James, FH's father is James, FH is James and our son is James. I had no choice, but I didn't mind. I like the name, I'm not a big fan of trendy names.

for the first 2 months FH and I were dating, I didn't know his real name! I met him through a fraternity, and was ALWAYS called ihs 'pledge name'. To this day, I call him his pledge name more than his real name. His name is Jeffrey, and all i think about when i say it is the comedy show Bill Cosby did in the 80's, when he talked about this horrible annoying boy named.... Jeffrey
I thought my name wasn't that common, but now I know a lot of Angela's. Everybody automatically shortens it to 'Ange', except my mom who still calls me 'Angelface'
Because FH is jewish- no Jrs for our kids...but I have picked Jackson and Jacob, so we are sticking with the J's.

ok - i totally took this question the wrong way LOL ... i thought we were talking about last names here
I like his name, but i don't think we'll do a JR. And we never really talked about it but i don't think he'd want his boys named after him. I think we'll stick with the initial thing though... His initials are CJJ and so are his dad's. We'll probably continue that tradition...

I love his name, Steven. I always hated my name, Randi, growing up. I was always teased for it.
Now as an adult, I love it and love the unique-ness of it!

I don't like either of FH's names. His real name is William but everyone calls him by his middle name Phillip (Phill). i would never name my son after him and I don't think Fh would want to either

I absolutely can't stand my fh name first or last but I love him. I do like his middle name but I already told him I would not name a child after him and he agreed because he hates his first name. The last name was an issue I was gonna keep my own but I finally agreed to take his

Yes I love fh's name. Andrew has always been my favorite name for a boy even before I met fh. If we have a boy we will most likely be naming him Andrew.
