or did you pick it based on practicality, price, etc
Just wondering if it's worth a slight splurge or upping the budget a little to find a place I LOVE rather than pick a place that works but I don't love. Not that its not possible to find a place that works within your budget, but I'm not having much luck finding a place that makes me excited and I've seen a lot of places already.
Anyway, TIA for your honesty and help!

I love our venue but I also love that it I not costing us an arm and a leg. FH and I are paying for the wedding and I do not want to go crazy with the costs. I rather use our money on things that are more important like our house we just bought and future children

I LOVE my place. I worked them into getting as close to what I wanted to spend. I have to say though I am glad I spent a little more because everything is PERFECT AND I LOVE IT!! It really feels like 'US' that was the most important part.

I picked a place Coral House based off our LACK of a budget... but the food was amazing and everyone is really nice....
We decided bcause it felt kind of old in there to do a vintage literature and lace themed wedding (one wall of our room is a HUGE bookcase)
and now i LOVE the venue because it works so well with our theme and our guests are really going to feel like they are stepping back in time :)

i do LOVE my venue and it is the perfect place for FH and I to get married and start our lives! It was also in our budget. If our budget was unlimited (or much much bigger) we would've chosen a different venue, however, I still don't regeret my decision. It wasn't worth the extra $20-30K that it would've cost us to have it a different venue....hello new house!!!

FH & I priority is the house. I definitely want the wedding but everytime I think about overspending I say...'what about the house'
We like our RH, LOVE the food but that was the most importatn thing to FH & I.
My advise would be to figure out what the most imporant thing is to you in an RH and see what you may need to settle on to get what you want.

I picked a place I love, just settled for a Sunday daytime wedding to keep it within the budget. Just keep in mind that daytime or Sunday weddings are cheaper so that's an option, or try something off season.

This! We both fell in love with our RH the second we saw it. We are spending more than we had originally planned, but we both felt it was worth it.

I Love my venue! But, if I had a 200k budget would I have booked there... probably not. It's funny because before we got engaged and we were just talking about wedding stuff I always said I knew exactly what I wanted. But then you get engaged and realize, holy cow we have to pay for all of this stuff! We put together a budget and figured out how much we wanted to spend for the venue and then started looking. For my budget i LOVE the Riviera. It really offers us everything we were looking for all within our budget. So i guess what I'm saying is if i had a million dollars maybe i would have a crazy tented wedding and feed everyone lobster, but i don't i have my budget and i feel lucky that i was able to find something i love that much within what i can afford.
I think you also need to figure out what else other then the venue is important to you. My budget for flowers and photos are a little on the crazy side, but both things were really important to us. (well, the flowers FH couldnt care less about but they were imporant to me! ) maybe you might not care about those things and want to use your money for your venue! the key is to figure out whats most important to you guys.

This! Except it wasn't really that much cheaper. My one regret with this wedding is that it's a Sunday but there is nothing that can be done about it now!

I knew I didn't want to even check out places that were above our budget- I picked a handful of beautiful places-that were completely reasonable- and went from there--Jericho Terrace was perfect for us- and because we are getting married in February it def was in our budget

I was getting pretty frustrated looking for a venue because we wanted something different. If I had an unlimited budget, I would get married in a loft in the city, but that just wasn't in the cards. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my venue, it was as close to my vision as money would allow. It is pricey, which is why I am having a Sunday wedding in March. We have tried to keep a lot of other costs down to compensate, but the RH really sets the mood (and is by far the biggest expense!).
What are you looking for that you aren't finding? Between all the girls on the boards, I doubt there is a venue one of us hasn't seen. Maybe we can make suggestions?

I LOVE it!!!! In the end it actually is costing us alot more than we were even looking to spend...but I am happy with our choice. Everyone I talk to says 'wow thats a really nice place'
I'll be happy when the dollar signs are payed off

I LOVE it! I stalked it online during construction and researched on here to find out when it would be complete. I was lucky that the weekend I went to go see it, it was in final stages of construction and was invited back the following evening to see it set up for the first wedding. The room is AMAZING and is everything I wanted!
