Just as the title says. Wanted to check out a bunch that could accommodate 200+, including Vineyard Caterers, Chateau Briand, Fox Hollow, Jericho Terrace, Sandcastle, Windows on the Lake, Venetian Yacht Club, the Hamlet of Commack, and Chateau La Mer.
We are going to some sort of expo at Chateau Briand tomorrow night. Do you generally need appointments to view the others and go over prices?

Most places require appointments. The two places i know that don't are Jericho Terrace and Westbury Manor.
WM prefers if you schedule an appointment at least that is what we were told back when we were looking

I guess you do if you want to make sure someone's available to answer any questions. Plus, you may not know what to look at besides what the place looks like unless there's a wedding going on.

yes yes and yes. def make appts. often times they won't show it to you w/o one, especially if there is an event going on. you'd be surprised at how many events take place during the week!!!!! my friend was turned away from lands end and it left her a bad taste in her mouth- honestly, it just shows that they aren't letting just anyone into your reception!!!

When I called WM a few weeks ago to go see it, I was told they didn't make appointments, to just go in! Maybe it depends on the person who answers the phone!

It's a good idea if you can. Fh and I went during the week to look at Rh's. Most of them were accommodating even though we didn't have an appt.

I would call and make an appointment. That way you can see how the RH looks when a wedding is taking place, and what it looks like empty.

Well, after seeing an expo at Chateau Briand last night we made an appointment there for Saturday. We also have an appointment at Chateau La Mer and Fox Hollow for Sunday. Jericho Terrace said we do not need an appointment.
Chateau Briand was perfect and the food was outstanding, but we figured we would like to see/price out a few places.
