we got a few gifts of our registry and opened it right away!!!

Yeah open it!! I wouldnt use it til after your wedding. I think that would be bad luck, but def look to see what you got

I would definitely open it right away and send a thank you right away. You don't want the person who sent it to you to think you never got it!

Technically people have a whole year before AND after your wedding to send you gifts (if you follow Emily Post etiquette) so I say OPEN UP THAT GIFT!

I've been opening things as they've been coming in.

open right away - just in case anything is damaged or broken. and send them a thank you card

We open right away... its mostly just family who gets ahead of the game and sends stuff as soon as you register.. (well in my case it has been).

We get the thank you notes out right away. (I just think it is polite)

BUT it is sooo much fun getting packages!!!
