How did you write your names on your invitations? TIA

I heard that 'etiquette' states that you either write both middle names or none at all

FH's name is Frank Louis and mine is just Julieann (all my 1st name) so we didn't use his middle name.. Plus it sounds better... I never pictured my wedding invites to say Frank Louis j/k

I am not using my middle name. So we are not using middle names at all.

I also heard it should be both or none. we did ours with both are middle names. I think it is funny that the response cards, for the return address has only my name, but that is what I was told how it should be done, that they don't put both.

we both do but we didn't put our middle names on the invitations and he has 2 that would take up way too much room just our first and last name

I didn't like the formality of it, so we just went with our first names.

Nobody even calls me 'Allyson' ever and I truly hate being called 'Allyson' (I have been Ally since like the 9th grade) and my friends were teasing me because my name is Allyson Jane - they were calling me 'Allyson Chains' (like Alice in Chains the band) ... so I went as far as saying 'Ally and Andrew' on our invite wording.

I know it will make everyone gasp, but I didn't care. Just call me an Off-beat bride. Ha ha.

I don't and Fh does have a middle name. We didn't use his. I told him it was up to him, we both liked it better without using his.

we both have middle names but FH absolutely refused to have his middle name on the invite (It's 'Elvio' can you blame him???) but my middle name is my maternal grandmother's name and my mom would have been crushed if I left it out.

Everyone in my family thinks he should have ****** it up and just let me put in on the invite but if he hates it that much, I'm not going to try to force him. Besides, who really cares.

I have a similar problem

FH has 2 middle names and a different last name from his parents (mom remarried)
SOOOO....

this is my invite (not real names)

Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Katie Ann

Mr. & Mrs. Robert Nese

I don't have a middle name because my parents decided to name me Mary-Katherine, which is my whole first name (random people always try to tell me that Katherine is my middle name, and I'm like NO IT'S NOT, I THINK I KNOW MY OWN NAME! HAHA). Anyway, we're not up to invite wording yet, but I'm sure FH will use her first and middle name, and it should be ok considering I have 2 first names, so it should look fine on the invites.

Whether it's proper etiquette or not, do what you want with the invites, I don't think anyone will notice or critique the wording on it.

I never use my middle name but FH ALWAYS does....so I put mine

not only do we both have middle names...but FH has 2 middle names!!! lol, not including his confirmation name! Our invitations are saying

I dont have a middle name, thankfully cause i really dont believe in them. fh doesnt use his, and on our invites we just put our first names
