We have two - a husband & wife duo. I think it works best this way because 1) they have chemistry together and 2) the wife comes with me and the husband goes with my fiance. I highly recommend them...photography was TOP PRIORITY on our budget and these two are going to kill it!!! They are Tin Sparrow Studio.

I would definitely suggest getting 2 photographers so that you can have pictures of both you and your FH getting ready.

The photographer I think I'm going with just told me that one is okay and they can reenact my fiance getting ready at the reception hall. I might see if they can go to take a few pictures of my fh before coming to take pictures of me getting ready. Thats a good idea.

Re: Do you really need 2 Photographers?
We wanted quality pictures, not just quantity, although both would be great! So we ended up going with one photographer that we liked the style of pictures from. Her price was as much as another photographers prices for him and an 'assistant' photographer + other things. So she wasn't cheap. I wanted pictures from all angles so two photogs would be great, but if the photos were crap we thought there really wasn't a point to it.
I think if you have a large wedding, 200+ then two photogs would be the way to go. We're only having in the low 100s so I think 1 photog is ok for us.
We're hoping we made the right decision!

Yes. You need 2 photogs.
One is getting different shots than the other during the ceremony, and reception.
One is with the groom and the bride....
But you have 2 people getting different angles, and can be in 2 different places at the SAME time.
One taking crowd reaction, one to get the entrance of the bridal party.
IMHO you need 2.
I completely agree
This! We had over 200 people and I'm glad that the photographers were able to catch all the photos that they did. For ex, our main photographer stayed w/ us during cocktail hour taking pictures while the 2nd one took some of the guests at CH. I guess it depends on what you want and how big your wedding will be.
btw, i looked at your photographers pictures and they are pretty awesome! great choice!

We have two. I just felt what if one is taking pictures of us, but theres something really cute happenining on the other side of the room that I wish would have gotten captured on film? Plus we'll have pictures of us both getting ready because we'll have a photographer at each house. I'd say if it fits in your budget (it didn't in mine, but I made it fit ;)), go for it!!

I want 2 photographers because I want to be able to capture as many moments as possible. If 1 photographer is taking pictures of me and FH then the other one will be taking pictures of my guests. FH and I plan to get dressed at the same location so during that time we will only have 1 photographer. I'm thinking of only having the 2nd photographer for about 4 hours.

We are having 2 photographers. Mainly because we are having over 200 people at the wedding. I was really afraid that things would get missed and people would be missed too! While I wanted pics of me getting ready, pics of the guys was an afterthought. It works out now, and I am sure there will be pics of them goofing off, which I can't wait to see!
