I cant believe they are giving you a hard time about setting up your centerpieces!! What did they want to charge you to do that?
They actually didn't give me a number, just said that since an extra staff member will need to be put on to do this, that the cost would be passed along instead of absorbed. That's even more frightening, I'd rather just know X amount, not think it's X amount and it turns out being triple X amount. I'm so annoyed! But not completely surprised...I knew going in that little things like this that other RHs do no questions asked are more of a production here.
Thats really annoying! But you and I both know that our RH can be a little difficult....but its so worth it(to me anyway)
I know...I'm so much more into chicken francese than flowers

did you try flowers by burton? i heard they are very well priced for gorgeous flowers
Yeah they were still a little higher than we wanted to go, and they kind of bad mouthed our RH, so I'm not sure if I'm feeling them too much. I think my problem is that I'm cheap to a fault lol.

Re: Do you REALLY need CPs???
my sister did candles for CPs. they were INCREDIBLE. she saved a lot of money by ordering stuff online and even got michael's to give her a discount on the pillar candles because she ordered so many of them. don't get frustrated. i'm using paper lanterns for my CPs. i spent about 120 on them and all i have to do is get battery operated tea lights and my RH is helping me find table runners.
don't get frustrated. you can definitely work it out!!!

Re: Do you REALLY need CPs???
i have never heard of any reception hall that will not put a candle or diy on a table. thats why every hall has a bridal attendant/matred/servers for those kind of things, i was a server for wedding for many years and one of us was always in charge of the card table setup, favors, centerpices, etc at each place setting. They can def do it for you i think you should talk to someone else or go on the 08 07 boards and ask past villa ladies maybe you spoke to a bad source

I spoke to the banquet manager...so that's why I'm scared! I wish this was just heresay, but I got it straight from the source. It's not that they WON'T do it...it's that they're going to have to make it be worth their while

What about placecards? Are they gonna charge us to set those up?
