Dumb question. Should I send an STD to the reverend? We're sending one to his mother who is close friends with FH's grandma. Still, we are paying for him to do our ceremony. Does he get a Save the Date? And while we're on it.... would he get an invitation? TIA!

I didn't send a save the date to our priest, but did send an invitation. if you're sending it to his mother, I'd prob. just send the save the date as well. it's more polite than anything... i don't know how many officiants actually come to the reception. Good luck.

I would send one if you are sending one to his mother this way he doesnt feel slighted. We did send an invitation to the preist who oversaw our ceremony but he did not attend as most will not. Yours might if his mother is invited.

I sent one to our priest knowing that he would RSVP no because he has other weddings that day -- I thought it was the polite thing to do. I didn't want him to think he was good enough to marry us but not good enough to eat with us.
