...it'll be too cold on October 9th to have an outdoor wedding? The wedding will begin at 10am.

Re: DO YOU THINK
i went to Salem, MA last year around that same time and we spent A LOT of time outside. It was a little cold but we were ok with our light jackets.
Note: i'm ALWAYS cold so for me to say it was fine is a big thing lol
obviously it depends on the day though some Octobers are worse than others

Re: DO YOU THINK
I think you can definitely plan for an outdoor ceremony, however you should have a back up just in case.

I think you can plan for it........it might be a bit brisk, but I am assuming the men will be okay in suits and the women tend to bring a shawl or cover-up.....

Re: DO YOU THINK
My wedding is October 10 and we're hoping for an outdoor ceremony but not the whole event. Part of the cocktail hour will be opened up for guests to go outside, again weather permitting. Our ceremony is also early, 11 am. I think that October can go either way. But at such an early hour it'll probably still be a little chilly even if it warms up in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, we can plan everything else but can't plan the weather! Just cross your fingers and have a back-up plan if you decide to have your whole wedding outdoors.

Re: DO YOU THINK
Our ceremony is on 10/17 and we are having an outside wedding The weather is usually pleasant that time of year but like us you should have a back-up plan!

I agree. I've been to weddings in October where it's freezing, and others where it's 60 degrees out.

Re: DO YOU THINK
as long as you have the option of doing it inside if the weather doesnt work out, id say shoot for outdoors and think positive!

Re: DO YOU THINK
my cousin had her wedding Oct 10 '09 and it was outdoor. It was beautiful. But it also was during the day. In the evening it may get chilly though

Re: DO YOU THINK
I'm November 6th, and I'm planning an outdoor ceremony. My hall even recommended it, as did just about every other hall I went to see.
October should be no problem at all

Re: DO YOU THINK
I think its early enough in October that you can plan for it, but don't be too disappointed if it does have to be moved indoors
