Just curious! I am in the process of doing my table cards and the print is a little darker blue than the light blue ribbon, but I think the shades go well together. Is everyone matching things perfectly or using variation of a particular shade?
ETA: ok so here are some pics...I am doing my placecards and the same thing with my menus...should I freak out that the blues don't match perfectly? Also, thanks to cmrka ffor the placard idea :) ahhh...pic wont post...i will try later!!
I am extremly anal about everything. It all needs to be just so. I guess I have OCD. Even in my house Im like that, I swear my FH will shoot me because of it

Re: Do you think everything should match?
it doesn't have to be a 100% match, but try to keep it either as close as possible, or go different enough to have it be a nice contrast.
For example, it was not possible to get a matching dress for my Jr. BM. Rather than take the chance of her dress being off enough to look bad, I just had get a different color all together. Then, I used that color for my bouquet and cake flowers. So, it was a very pretty contrast.

At first I was hoping to have everything completely match but I think now I am going more for a general color scheme that is complementary (and just trying to avoid clashing!)

I like this much better than everything the same exact shade. It's more visually interesting, in my opinion.

NO! I *strongly dislike* how everything in the wedding world seems borderline cheesy at times because of the 'matchy matchy' aspect of it. I really like it all to 'flow' together...but to be carpon copies of each other bleeding from invites, to decor, to flowers, to dresses...NOPE! But I may be on the minority.
Girl - I'm so counting down the days for you! Yeay Karilyn!
ETA: My colors were silver and light blue...I had different shades of both throughout the wedding so that they were clearly a 'theme' but not necessarily obvious.

I say that you can mix it up. As long as the colors compliment each other, then I think it is going to look great!! I agree with SomethingBlu, that cookie cutter wedding theme is out now...your guests want to see something new!

Ok, I voted YES for matching, but then I realized that what I MEANT was coordinating. I think all the colors should coordinate, but certainly not be the same color. To me, that's boring.

Nah - Im mixing it up. As a child if someone said whats your favorite color I could never answer because I turly love them all, so Im having as much color as possible. My centerpieces dont make our bouquets or anything!! Call me crazy!
