we have been thinking about getting another pug, we heard that they are better off in pairs but Im afraid that its going to be too much for me, Reggie is a little handful already. But someone just told me that it may be easier with 2

From what I have heard, if you can afford the extra food and vet stuff... it is so much better having 2 dogs!

Completely agree...go for two. Max and Mo are lost without eachother!

I would love to get another dog, a dashhound(sp). For my 1 year old beagle, but dogs are so expensive.

It is nice to have 2, they entertain eachother.

Is it nice for them to have company? Yes.

Is it EASIER? No, it's twice as much work and responsibility.

I have also heard this about pugs. They get some sort of separation anxiety if they are alone.

Once DH & I have our house we are definately getting another dog.

ETA: I have heard that the pugs behave better when they are not alone.

we just got our second puggle!!

couldne be happier.... they play together all the time!!!!! it's much easier becuase now i feel they ar emore occupied with eachother.... i hate to say this.. but with the 1st one i felt bad sometime that i didnt have time to play with her for hours like she wanted... i di have eash and cooking to do..... we are sooo happt about getting another dog.... we were very scared at first but it's been the best experience.... the puppy doesnt eat that much more food and the bills are an extra cost right now but she's a puppy she still needs ll of her shots etc... check ups... but after that i think it will be perfect!!!

I say totally go for it... the 1st one will be stand ofish at first but after a few days they will realize 'oohhhh someone else who wants to play!!!! YEAH!!! Let me at em!!!!

Wow--

That is exactly how I feel about tippy tic tac, she is so lonely--and I love her to death. I will start school again in Sept. She is going to be bored. Seriously, I want a 2nd dog/pup. I don't want to leave her alone anymore. My hubby is home, but it is not the same, she always looks lonely now. She is a beagle who is always looking sad, but now she is dragging around the house, possible from the heat, but she always wants to play in the middle of the night, when I am trying to sleep. I wish I could get her a friend. The only problem, is we don't have our place yet!!!!
