Do you think I should have a singer at my reception???

I was going to get a Frank Sinatra singer for my reception to sing during dinner. I don't know if I should book him or not??

I don't know if I should spend the extra money for that.

What do you think?? Is anyone else having anything at their reception??

I think if I was getting a band, then I would get a singer.

Yes, I think he was pretty good. My friend had him at her wedding. I don't know what to do. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

I keep thinking is it worth the money!!!!???

We really wanted to get a singer during dinner at the beginning of planning. As the wedding has come closer, we realized that for us, it wasn't worth the $$.

We are having a singer, but for the whole reception. Some of those places charge a lot of $$ for the singer just for the dinner 'hour' which really isn't even an hour.

This was one thing that was a must for my fiance. We are having a Frank Sinatra singer. Of course, it feeds into my theme quite nicely.

I really wanted a band, so having him sing during dinner is going to break it up. I'm not going to lie, it's a BIG expense for such a short period of time. And sometimes I wish I had that money back! But I think it'll be 'one of those' things that people will remember.

I was thinking about doing that but haven't looked into it yet. How much does it cost and where would you get him from? Thanks.

Have you considered going to local colleges and checking out the talent at their drama clubs? For a few hundred bucks, you can get a kid with lots of talent, and would LOVE both the work and the references.

I say no to the Karaoke Frank Sinatra singer. If you had a band, it would make more sense.

It's not kareoke. It's a professional singer.

Well, I'm still undecided on what to do.

I just wanted to have a little something else at the reception besides my DJ.

I just don't know if I want to part with that money when it's only for like 20 mins. Definitely not an hour.

The dinner hour is not really an hour...people normally chow down pretty fast especially if your hall serves the food quickly. You also don't want to put the mood on super mellow because it may be hard to have the crowd pep up again.

Hmmm....never thought of that. Oh, yes you are right! It's definitely not an hour. That's why I am so undecided to even bother spending that extra cash for like 20 mins.
