Yes, I would say so. It's just something very sacred that you can look back at 50 years from now and share it with your children. I would definitely get one.

Someone once posted an answer to this question on this site and it sealed it for me.

If your grandmother had a wedding video, wouldnt you want to watch it?

I want it not only for me, but to pass down to my children someday.

fh and i were not going to have one, but someone had said its a good thing to have, we have older grandparents that wont be around forever, and we will have a memory of them being with us, and it will be a great way to show our future kids. good luck

If you could spare something (like an outside cake or viennese hour), I would get a videographer...if not, maybe you can get a family member to tape it, you'll want to see that video after your day is done

I didnt get one, b/c I can't stand to look at videos if there are people on it who have now passed away... photographs are fine, but something about hearing their voice really freaks me out... so no video for me.

Re: Do you think I'll regret...

for me it went by SOOOOOOOOO fast. Plus as the bride you do miss a few things such as parents walking down the aisle, your bp walking down the aisle, seeing your fh waiting around before you show up...i only have a short video for now but it quickly shows dh getting ready the morning of and i loved seeing that. Plus even entrances, honestly i dont even remember hearing the song when dh and i made our entrance into the reception. Seriously things are so surreal at the moment and alot of it is a blur. I also cant wait to see our bp's entrance since i didnt get to personally see any of that. ALso i missed things since i had to go say hello to the tables and kept getting pulled in every direction.

I hate that it went by so fast and now i cant wait to have the video so i can relive the day. Even the small clip i have of dh and i exchanging vows gets me emotional and cant wait to see the whole thing again.

I don't plan on having one. I never even watched my sister's and I was the MOH. I'd rather put the money into better pictures.

omg! i just signed up for one! i added it to my package kinda last minute. why? i hate videos and will never watch it, BUT i wanted something w/my family members on it. we lost my grandpa recently and i want to capture everyone on video so i can look back at it.

we opted for a basic video, no special fx - nothing fancy, it's $995 and it will just document the day. that's all i need

yes!!!
If you have any doubt at all, get one! If its really not in your budget, make sure you get someone, a friend with a camcorder to do their best.

I cannot speak for you of course and everyone shares different feelings on this it seems, but as for me and FH, we would regret it if we did not....I know me especially....if it is a decision you have made and it feels right for you, dont stress, but if you are already regretting it, maybe see if there is something that you can do, or even ask a guest who would not mind

I would get it and if your in a tight budget there are alot of affordable places.
Try Halo there simple package starts at 995 and goes up to 1795.

I didn't want one...I'm glad I got one even though I fought DH on it. I remember very little from my wedding day. It all went so fast and I'm glad I have the video to look back on!

Re: Do you think I'll regret...

We werent planning on one but got a good deal so we had one.

We just got our dvd yesterday and it was nice to have. It's not something you will watch over and over again since its kinda boring (we FF throught some). But is was nice to have the ceremony and some crazy moments on the dance floor on video.

IMO, if you are wondering if you will regret it, you might regret it in the end. I know its nuts w/ wedding budgets and all, but we held back on other things to afford the video.

I wasn't going to have one either. My friend's sister didn't have one and she regretted it. I am using someone I know and the price is not that bad. Let me know if you want the info?
