I didnt. Some of my family memebrs captured the important moments. So I have the memories. If you cant afford it, designate someone to film.

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
I hadn't planned to, but I decided to do it at the last minute. I'm so glad I did. The day went so fast and there is so much that I missed or dont remember, I'm really glad to have it.

I am sure I will 100% regret not having one but it isn't in our budget. I trust my photo and kow she will capture all she can for our special day!

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
everyone told me this so i asked my photographer to recommend someone cheap and she put me in touch with her neighbor, this dorky guy who does wedding video on the side for something to do. he is only 500 bucks for the entire day as long as we want him there and he will put together a chapter dvd with all the 'good footage' i doubt i will ever really watch it after we 1st get it but at least i will have it, and we will own it so we can do a highlight video or montage video in the future

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
I would just even have a friend or family member tape it if you can. I feel like our photographer missed alot and our videographer captured everything! Its so nice to be able to relive it and the interviews that people did to wish us luck are hilarious!

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
If you are asking this question than I am going to say yes! When I mentioned in front of my dad (who is a pretty thrifty spender) that I was thinking of not having one, he INSISTED that I did. His point was that years from now, if someone has passed away, we can at least have them at our wedding on video to remember. Sometimes it can capture a little more than a still photograph.

I may do something similar. My FH really doesn't want to have one, because he is afraid the video guy will be in his face all night. But, I work in the video production industry, and I know a few people who could do this for me for cheap. So I have some feelers out and may get someone to just record it - and make an edited version later.

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
i gotta say yes. if you cant afford one i would say find a film student or someone who can do it for a good price.
im more anxious to get my video back then pics cause i can relive the day through the video. i wanna listen to us saying our vows and our best man saying his speech. the day went by so fast i missed so much that i know it has been caught on film and i cant wait to see it.
if your worried about price, my videographer has two good packages under $1000.

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
I am SOooooo Glad I got the video. Our pictures are beautiful but there is nothing like hearing your ceremony again or watching the day! It goes by so fast that I had forgotten a lot of it until I saw my video.
We didn't get a fancy package or editing just the video capturing the day from when I was getting ready to teh last dance.
Sooo Worth it in my opinon

Re: Do you think I'll regret...
I think so.. but this comes from a person who still watches her bat mitzvah video from 1995. I especially like it becuase my grandma was up dancing and that how i like to remember her.
