Do you think I'm obligated to ask

my sisters-in-law to be BM's? I was in both of theirs, but I am going to have my brothers and we didn't want to have a big wedding party. I'm only having an MOH and 2 BMs (one is FSIL). Do you think I'm obilgated to ask? TIA

not at all. however, are they your FH's sisters? if so, he should really make the call.

(sorry, had to edit bc i answered like an entirely different question at first!)

I agree and would say 'nope.' I am assuming you were in their wedding because of your relation to your brother not them. It really depends on your relationship with them.

nope...we didn't include each others' siblings in the BP (except my sister who was MOH)....but I asked one of his sisters to read (cuz I LOVE her) and one of my step-brothers to read also.

Not obligated but I did because she wanted to be in the wedding and I didn't want to make any problems.
She has been better than my friends so I am glad I did.

You're not obligated to do anything -

Definitely not. Some would say that I should have asked FBIL's fiance to be in my bridal party, but I didn't want to. She and I are not friends and my BP was big enough without her. I already have my sister, 4 friends and FH sister.

i think you should ask them to do readings or a cabdle lighting or something to make them feel a apart of your day. they dont have to be in the bridal party if your keeping it small but i would make sure they were involved somehow especially if you get along with them i just think its a nice thing to do

Not obligated, but will they be hurt after they asked you and you aren't reciprocating? If you are close with either, maybe you could approach the subject with her and see how she reacts. You don't want any bad blood, even though it is your day...

No, you are not obligated, but in my opinion it is probably the right thing to do to ask them. Will they be hurt if you don't?

Re: Do you think I'm obligated to ask

my personal answer is no -

i was forced to ask - i didnt want to create bad blood early on - it was just easier...

i am all for making these decisions if they will allow you to have an easier life later on- I say- ask them if they want to do it- and if they say yes- they say yes- they may say no...
