Do you think it is messed up

that my FMIL hasn't seen me in my dress yet? I see on here a lot that FMIL go with you to your fittings etc. When I bought all my bm (including FSILs) to look for bm dresses at the store where my dress was at, FMIL was busy that day so she didn't come. They live about an hour away, so I don't think its a big deal, but I just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on this

Nope -- FMIL is involved because she's into this stuff. I don't really ask a lot of people to do things with me. Neither my mom or FMIL came to BM dress shopping. FMIL only saw my gown after I got. Some people are just not that into it

Not at all. Traditionally she doesnt see the dress till the day of.
Mine saw the dress only because she came with us BM dress shopping and I brought it downstairs to make sure it looked ok. She hasn't seen it on me yet though and she is DEF. not going to any of my fittings.

Nope not at all. FMIL lives in Florida, and even though they come up here a lot, they were never here when I went looking for dresses/when my dress came in. I did send pictures to her though

I don't think it's a big deal sweetie. My fmil came with me but my mom lives in Brazil so she decided to come but to be honest with you she has hardly paying attention to me anyway she was roaming around the store looking for dresses for herself...lol

MY FMIL hasnt even seen a picture of my dress.
The only person that has seen it is my mom

Not at all. FMIL hasn't seen my dress or the BM dresses. Truthfully, I invited her to everything and she just doesn't want to go...FH got into a fight with her because she mentioned wearing an old dress from like 1979. I've tried to make every effort to involve her, but she SO not into it!

its not required - but it would be nice to try to make a date with her for lunch and to show her. Thats what Im gonna do when my dress comes in. FMIL has two sons - no daughters - and i know it would mean alot to her!
