Do you think it is necessary to do OOT boxes/bags??

Do you think it is necessary to do OOT boxes/bags??

I have some family from out of town/state. But my FH's Marine Friends will definitely not want an OOT box unless it has some alcohol in it haha plus they are all guys they can definitely deal without

Then one of my aunts and uncles both will stay with family while they are here. And then I have my one aunt and uncle with their kids who will most likely stay at the hotel but their kids are older and working/going to school not sure if they will come to the wedding.

SO...do I really need them if I am only going to make maybe 5-10 boxes? It is just one less thing so I was thinking NO.

TIA

I don't think its a MUST, but I like it.

All OOT weddings that I have been to have them, and even in town weddings where we stay at the hotel.. we have always gotten them.

We did them and the guys tore into them bc we packed them full of snacks and drinks and stuff.

DEFINITELY something that you can eliminate if you want though!

It's a nice touch, but DEF not necessary. People are pleasantly surprised to receive one, but won't even notice if they don't.

I'll do them for you!

And I think they were worth it....my guests loved them, especially the guys. They ate theirs within an hour of checking in!

I think that is a very nice gesture but I am not doing them. Well maybe, but leaning towards no. (im a very indecisive person)

honestly if you don't want to don't do them. Most people said i was insane and stupid to do them (these were the people who got them). I mean they ate/used them but they said with everything else your doing why do this?

I'm not doing them and I don't think they are necessary.

they're certainly not necessary but I do think it's a nice touch to welcome your OOT guests.

FH thought it was the dumbest thing eveer when I approached him about doing it... until we went to a wedding that had it! He thought it was awsome! We totally used the water and asprin after getting back all drunk.. we snack on the nuts and chips while we were getting ready...

so yea we are doing 'em now..lol

I think its a really nice thing to do... every time I go to an OOT event I always appreciate it. You dont have to go crazy, just get some inexpensive gift bags and a few things from Stop n Shop or costco....people will appreciate the gesture.

I'm doing them. I think it is a nice touch to show appreciation for guest who spent alot of money to come to the wedding. Most OOTers aren't from 50 miles away. They have to fly in, rent a car, book a hotel room and then fly back home and pay for having left their car at the airport. Many also needed to take time off of work to attend. Even those who drove in, if they need a hotel room they spent ALOT of money on gas to drive to the wedding and then the hotel room.

OOT boxes are not a necessity. We have lots of cousins and friends from oot but most will stay with other family members. We are in the same situation as you - 4-6 hotels rooms booked. We are skipping the oot bags.
