for the MOG to wear red? My mom found a beautiful dress for my brother's wedding. It is available an a few different colors but she likes red the best. She is afraid it is not an appropriate color. She is going to ask my FSIL her opinion, but she is pretty easy going so I don't think it would bother her. What do you think?
Barring any cultural issues, I don't see a problem.

I'm fine with it. I'm not having a BP, but if MIL is wearing red then you better believe my mom will wear gold. I like a lot of color, plus when I see the pictures, I can talk about it afterward. Lol.
