Do you think its silly to go to several showcases of your RH???

I setup to go to a showcase at my RH on Feb. 5th. FH asks why I want to go again. The first time I went with my BM's and I want to again in the summer with FH to try the food and then one more time to finalize the menu with him. In total I will have gone 4x.

Is that too much??? I dont think it is. I love going there and seeing the place and tasting the food.

Just wondering.....

to be totally honest with you..I think tastings are a waste. Think about it...they know you are coming and are preparing a plate for 2 of you...how is that ever going to compare to doing the same to 100+ people? It doesnt...you know the food is good by recommendations and going there as a guest yourself....not from the 'presentation' of a fancy tasting. jmo

to be totally honest with you..I think tastings are a waste. Think about it...they know you are coming and are preparing a plate for 2 of you...how is that ever going to compare to doing the same to 100+ people? It doesnt...you know the food is good by recommendations and going there as a guest yourself....not from the 'presentation' of a fancy tasting. jmo

ITA...rather then having tastings, we just had dinner our RH and found the food to always be exceptional!

Well its not really a tasting per se. They have says where they prepare the cocktail hour food and some entrees for alot of people as a way to get people to taste the food. They have the carving stattions and all the other stuff. So its not just for the two of us. Its more like a showcase. They have vendors and a band play.

I've gone to my RH 4Xs to try the food but it was at a showcase....so they made food for a lot of people it wasn't just the two of us but our actual tasting isn't till July.

I dont' thin it's too much. Hey, it's your wedding. You can taste as much as you want until you finally know what you want. If my venue allowed us to do that I would definitely go so many times.

i went to my halls showcase last yr and plan on going again this yr... i love going there so why not... my grandmother hasnt seen it so i think she may go also which would be nice for her! as for FH, he looked at me like i was crazy, but i bribed him by saying we get a free meal for the night that doesnt require cooking from us... lol

I don't think it's toooo bad. We've gone to two showcases, one at LOTS, and one at Villa...and if they didn't DOUBLE the price for 2009, I would have went last week too!

But even if they didn't, we got to the point where we started to feel uncomfortable because we visited so many house vendors, and didn't book...we felt guilty seeing them there haha.

I've gone to every single one since we chose our RH and I will continue to go until I'm married. I just love being at Westbury Manor and eating the food!

I try to go to all my RH's showcases. I love seeing the place and i've gone so many times that EVERYONE there knows me by name. It's nice to walk in and have an employee say 'hey Mady, wow ur day is getting so close' etc., etc.

for the money that i am paying the actual wedding food better be just as nice as the 'fancy tasting' haha. I havnt been to a tasting yet but i imaging the food and presentation would be an actual replica of the wedding, thats why they have them... so you can choose your menu and have fun tasting what it will be like in the process.

maybe im wrong, but thats just what i thought.
