FH and I were discussing this the other day. He swears he will be. I say no, because of everything going on today for ex... war...our economy. What do you all think?

Wellk, he wasn't elected in the first place, but assuming we're using a loose definition of 'elected', then I think there are enough stupid people in this country to 're-elect' him. Although I certainly hope not. I'd be really terrified if he were re-elected.

Yeah, I'm actually hoping that similar sentiments will help get a lot of younger people to get out there and vote!

I agree!! And I think many people feel the same way... but there are many people who don't feel like we do either. Most recently, I can't get over how he is not seperating religion from state. It boggles my mind how he gets away with this.

I HOPE AND PRAY he doesn't get re-elected.
If he does, then he'll add another conservative judge to the Supreme Court and we'll REALLY lose whatever is left of separation between church and state.

This may cause a bit of controversy, but this is my opinon.
First of all, I am anti-politics, meaning I really don't pay that much attention to things. I feel politicians are dishonest and corrupt by nature. No matter who wins, we lose.
Now, I do think Bush will be reelected. The man is very good at toying with American sympathy. There is increasing evidence that he knew about 9/11. Which means he consciously let 3,000 people die. But, he used the tragedy as leverage. He created stiffer security. He set up a task force. None of the things he did actually helped prevent another attack, because if it's going to happen, there's nothing we can do. But, it did give the government more control over the people and took more of our privacy and freedom away. The American people cheered, because the tragedy was fresh and they wanted to prevent a future disaster.
Then, isn't it funny that right when the Dems pick Kerry and everyone is excited and Bush starts getting crticism about the war, we 'find' Hussein and the popularity shifts back to Bush again. I'm sure he knew where he was all along.
What everyone wants is for this war to be over, as the deaths mount. But, don't be surprised if the war ends in October (how convenient) and right around Election Day, we 'find' Bin Laden.
It's all a game friends, it's all a game -- IMO of course

Unfortunately I think he has a good chance, and in some places outside of NY he is quite popular. Actually, on LI I think he is popular.

it's funny b/c i was just thinking about how there isn't a seperation of church and state anymore...especially with abortion issues. i hope he doesn't win...he can't win. our country is quickly going down the $h!tter with him. grrr...and sadly, i think he has a chance.

I really hope he doesn't, and since he didn't win the popular vote last time I think it really hit home how important elections really are in this country (though it wound up being up to the discretion of the Supreme Court anyway)...I think more of the country is becoming aware of how manipulative he is, and just plain dumb. I don't pretend to believe that he makes any of his policy decisions, but trying to get people to turn against Kerry for his tour of duty when Bush didn't even show up for his National Guard duty?! Give us all a little credit.

I know enuff young people who are so pissed off at how things are in the US today that they plan to vote him out. People who never ever voted before.... the younger vote going out could def sway this election towards kerry.

Im with you.
But Since I work in NY it's so cool to hate him and the media is so fast to judge him.
Personally though, I wish at the very least for a better opposing character than Kerry. God help me but I don't want that man as president at ALL!
