Hey - I think its a lovley look. My Florist (Flowers by Gina) actually made a sample for my bridesmaids bouquet which was gorgeous. I wish I would have taken a picture - a very lush elegant feel & look (mine are creme colored vendella roses on a bed of antique hydrangeas). See images attched - red hydrangea & black magic roses would look lovley. Its a singular color look and if you wanted the roses to stand out more you could always go with antique red hydrageas or play around with floral color sprays (most florist should have these available) and spray you roses with a hint of gold... so on and so fourth. Best of luck. I think they will come out great!

What do you ladies think of this as a centerpiece...hydrangea would be a bit more redder.
ETA: Can't post it- it's in my antique hydragea/rose album

No problem!! Glad to be of help. If your still checking out florist - I highly reccomend flowers by Gina. Amazing!!!!!!!!... and she will deliver on your vision. I looked at the pics in your album - it looks great, I think the hydreangeas would be the perfect touch to fulfill your vision.
