I was talking to a friend of mine a few days ago about my e-party. She asked me if I am talking to a girl christina. I said yes I am, I just spoke to her last night. My friend asked me if I invited her to the party. I said yes she got her invite but she hasnt responded. My friend said 'oh boy then you better have a talk with her because she just sent out an email inviting a whole list of friends including some you invited to your party for a BBQ at her place the same exact day and time as your e-party. I didnt see your name on the list and I figured you and her had a falling out'
I told my friend she is doing this on purpose. My friend asked what I meant. I said she is mad that I didnt ask her to be a BM, I asked another sorority sister to be a BM, and I wouldnt let her plan my wedding. She is mad and this is her way of getting back at me.
My friend said that is really wrong and extremely childish. I agreed.
What do you ladies think??
I am too a point I am just going to wash my hands of this girl. If she wants to plan her little BBQ same day and time as my party then she can have it, I have friends and family who are excited for me regardless.
looks like you made a good decision about your BMs....
maybe its jealousy...maybe you should talk to her...and tell that you are hurt by what she did(thats always one that kicks the person in the balls)
have the other friends responded yes?

childish is putting it nicely. Good thing you didn't pick her as your BM

Re: Do you think she is being childish
thanks.
I did send her an email that said 'hey mom is a little dense with the RSVP, can you do me a favor and please respond ASAP'
and she read it but never responded to the email or to the party.
Friends that were on her list and that I invited I spoke to and a few said they are going to let me know next week because some have work or their dates have work and they are finding out if they can take off. A few others have RSVPed already.
I thought maybe she forgot or got her days mixed up so I used the email as the reminder.
I tried to talk to her once and she seemed fine afterwards, but I think she still has this jealousy stored up.

Re: Do you think she is being childish
Sorry about this Chip..... I think you should wash your hands of it... she is obviously not on your side & even worse working against you . Regardless of the fact that she is not in the BP, she should still be a true friend & understand your decision.

Re: Do you think she is being childish
Wow, as the old expression goes, 'with friends like that you don't need enemies'!
She is more than childish she is being a manipulative back-stabber... The definitely proves you picked the right BM's....

Chippa consider 2 less people at the wedding. You just saved yourself some cash. With friends like that, who needs enemies.

I agree. And I would be hurt also! Just don't let her ruin YOUR TIME! This is one of the most important times of your life!

Re: Do you think she is being childish
That is childish, if it's the reason she's doing it.
As for the guest list, if they're your true friends, they'll put your e-party before her BBQ (it's a little more important).

Re: Do you think she is being childish
I agree. If someone decided to go to the BBQ instead of your party, than I guess you will need to cut them off your wedding list! This is the time when you will see who your real friends are. I cant believe this 'friend' would do this to you! F@ck her I say!

I agree childish is being kind. Weddings can bring out the best and the worst in people. I think you made the right decision about your BP!
