FH and I are going to a bbq on Saturday at one of his friends houses. I'm on WW and doing really well. My weigh-in is Sunday at 8:30am. Do you think it rude if I bring a box of 1point veggie burgers and 1 point buns so that I can stay on the diet w/o screwing up and eating high point bbq foods like burgers and hotdogs?

NO!!! THat's not rude at all. You're on a diet. If they can't understand that, then they're rude.

not at all!! whenever we have bbqs my friend brings her own veggie burgers b/c she is a veggitarian and she knows i always forget to get them for her!! i am always happy that she brings what she likes. i think they'd take it the same way.

What I would suggest is that you eat a whole lot of healthy food before you go and then while you're there, just munch on the healthier stuff..

you can also make a salad to bring to the BBQ which is something you can eat and share with everyone.

i think that's a great idea, though I would call ahead and just mention it to them.
And good for you thinking ahead like that!

I dont think its rude. You could also bring a salad or something healthy to share.
Another option: Have you used your extra 35 points for the week? If yoiu havent then you can eat what everyone else is!

I'm sorta trying to pretend the flex pts don't exist that way I can lose quicker, and once I hit goal I can occasionally indulge myself.

its not rude at all! i like the idea to bring the salad. it also is probably a good idea to let them know in advance so they dont buy extra meat or cook extra food.

Re: do you think this is rude?
you should be proud of yourself for thinking like that!
Ive done this a billion times since ive been on and off and on again....no one minded..
if youre afraid tellt hem ur a vegetarian!
But this is common, so just tell them or just bring it and toss it on the barbie and throw it on a bun!
The worst that can happen is ppl see ur vegggie burger and want one for themselves!

Nope, not rude at all.
But I do agree with the girls on here that said to call and let them know, so they don't plan on you eating, and just to give a heads up.

I don't think it's rude but people can be weird about things like that. My mom's cousin yelled at her for bringing her own food one time. Just so you can prepare in case they are offended.
