Okay so we are still in a dilemma, we want a day wedding, but the father will only marry us at 10AM Should we just take it and screw it if people don't like it or get a new venue and go with a night wedding.
Your responses will be greatly appreciated

10 AM is not that early. Do what you want. Everyone else will get there and be there for you morning, noon, or night!

As long as you are okay waking up that early, I'd say do it. It is your day and as long as your happy that is what counts. Your guests should be able to make it to the church b/c realistically 10am is not that early.....if it was at 7 or 8am it would be different, but 10am is good. HTH

I think 10am is going to be around the time i will have my ceramony. As i read above.. the only thing is ... waking up so early. but.... it also means.. your wedding day will soooooo long! very exciting... more time to enjoy what is happening

I think that's fine, my ceremony is at 2:30 (latest we could get) and our reception is at 6:00.

Re: DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony
I don't think that's a problem at all... my ceremony is at 3 and my CH starts at 7... I kinda wanted it that way though because I want all my pictures done with before the CH! I have alot of out of town guests too... all of my fiance's family is from Pittsburgh along with most of our friends since we both go to school there, but I think everyone will be ok!
As long as you're ok with getting ready early and all, you should be fine!

Re: DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony
I'm going to have to have an 10am or so ceremony too. My reception is at 1:30. I was worried too. I have 10 bridesmaids so I'm more worried about everyone being ready on time. As far as guests going to the church, if they want to be there there for you, they wont care what time it is.

Re: DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony
you are lucky your church will do 10am....my church is not able to do till 11am (or maybe 10:30am the earliest) b/c they do funerals first thing in the morning. they are priority. 11am barely leaves us any time between church and CH. i think 10am is fine. not too early....anything before thati would say may be too early.

Re: DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony
you would be getting ready when it's dark out! I'm not that much of an early bird but if the two of you are it might work. I was invited to an 11 am wedding this year....but luckly they lied on the invite because some like me didn't make it till 12... a few minutes before the actual start time. But you know your guests, will they make it? I would suggest that food be served right after because most probably will have been in a rush getting ready and not had much to eat. Also, are people coming from far? They might have to stay in a hotel the night before, you never know with traffic.
