DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony

DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony

Okay so we are still in a dilemma, we want a day wedding, but the father will only marry us at 10AM
Should we just take it and screw it if people don't like it or get a new venue and go with a night wedding.

Your responses will be greatly appreciated

Ouch. Do what YOU want.

If you want the day wedding then do the 10am ceremony take your pictures inbetween the ceremony & CH ...

they should STILL come if they are happy for you!!

Well the CH is at 1 pm. So that would give us enough time to take pics and such.

One other thing I should mention is that my fam ily is coming in from out of state, so I feel bad making them get up at the crack of dawn

NO 10 AM is fine. I went to a wedding that early once, it was fine with everyone I guess people alot of people showed up that early. What time is your reception? Is there a large time gap in between?

THe RH did offer a firday night wedding instead, but our ceremony is in queens which means that we'll get on the LIE during peal traffic hour.

What to do, what to do?

CH is at 1 and reception starts at 2.
We chose a place with a view exactly for this. I've been to weddings with a view but it's completely different during the day. I think it's appreciated more.

I think it's cool, people who love you will come even if it was at 7!! Keep reminding yourself it's about you guys that day, and everyone else already had or will have that day of their own!!

It's yours and your FH's wedding, so you should do whatever makes the two of you happy! If people really want to be there, they will be there!

That would be bad. You can try to get a church closer to the RH, but if you are set on the church, try to change the date, or something else to make it easier if you dont want to do it at 10am. I have been to a wedding at that time and it was fine. There was a gap too but we just hung out with some old college friends in between so it was no big deal.

Re: DO you think this is too early to have a ceremony

We had our mass at 10:30am, and although I was concerned about this at the beginning...it turned out great. We also had tons of OOT guests, and they all came in on Friday night (made a weekend of it) and were up and ready for the mass on Saturday morning. Our CH started as 1pm as well.

I LOVE that our wedding started so early because we truly got to spend the entire day with everyone who travelled so far to celebrate with us. We had an afterparty following the reception as well. I wanted to extend that day as long as possible!

IMO...those who want to be there that early will! Screw the rest of them.

Do what's best for you and FH!

Don't make yourself crazy trying to change it and figure out alternatives...do it at 10 and enjoy every minute of it!

I don't think a 10 am ceremony is too early for a 1:00 CH. I always assume when I get invited to a wedding that there will be a bit of a break in between. I'm doing the same thing for my wedding. Ceremony at 5, CH at 8.

I have just come to accept that there might not be tons of people at the church.
