do you think this is weird

I was at the mall w/ a friend today and we went to a jewelery store. I started trying on bands and couldn't really find anything that looked right with my e-ring. After looking at like 5 stores I decided I would have to wear my e-ring on my right hand.

Anyway, the last store we went to I tried on a ring and it looked AMAZING w/ my e-ring, almost like they were made for each other. My friend loved it too. Well it is the cheapest wedding band I have ever tried on and there is 30% off until Sunday.

I come home and tell fh about it and he says cool, you should have bought it, and I said well I thought it would be nice if we went together and bought it ,and he's like why does that matter, just go there and buy it while its on sale if you really like it.

Its great that he is telling me to buy it but I kinda felt that we should do it together and make it more meaningful. Am I looking too much into this or would you be upset?

i'd go when he can come with me...if he couldnt come...id at least show it to him on line. Im not really down with buying my band a lone.....FH drove me to albany to get my bands!! lol

I would be upset, but then remember that he is a guy.

He is probably just looking at it like 'another wedding thing to do'

Tell him you want him t see it and buy it with him.

hmm maybe I'm the minority but I don't think it's weird. I would order my ring without FH. I can absolutely understand where you are coming from though

idk - i keep picturing this magical moment when we pick out our rings and its all romantic and stuff

then i wake up and hear him on teh phone complaining about going - and its the one thing he has to do

I would never go buy my band on my own without FH being there. I know he wont care and wont mind but I dont know its just me, I feel like it would be weird with out FH

I'm the same way. I cant imagine getting my wedding ring without FH... it'd be weird.

I just asked him what he'd wanna do in the situation, and he said he wants to be there when i find the right ring. All defensive, as if I was telling him I was gonna go without him.
But he's also been really involved with most of the planning and sometimes I think he's a bigger hopeless romantic than i am.

don't be upset.. b/c it's not worth stressing over.. buttttt.. I do think he should go with u.. just explain that you want him to come.. hopefully you can both get there before the sale is over!

I'd be upset at first. My FH doesnt realize that some of these activites are 'together' things, but I've gotten over it. It just means I get my way! I booked our photographer and band alone!
