To be honest, I'm surprised there aren't more people who voted either No or Not by many. Not too many realists, if you ask me

on the boards? I think thats hard for anyone to answer unless you know someone personally on these boards to answer that- I guess it depends on how you answer posts and what you have to say that will make you liked or disliked and a lot of boards get way out of control and I wonder just how many people would say some of the horrible things I read to someones face. Its easy to hide behind a computer. But in the end does it matter?

This is not meant to offend anyone who starts threads like this, but -

I don't know, but I always try to avoid the threads like this, where people think of other LIW members, or say who they want to meet IRL, blah blah blah.

Inevitably, someone will not be mentioned, and it has nothing to do with their personality, or whether or not someone likes or dislikes them. It is simply that there are 8,000,000,000 people on here (I don't know how many there actually are, I'm exaggerating) and it is just impossible for every single person to get mentioned. Maybe you're remembered by your avatar (I know I am guilty of memorizing people by avatar, and I only vaguely remember names many times), maybe you have a screen name with numbers. Sometimes screen names aren't easy to remember. Let's also point out that there are MANY screen names on here that are VERY similar, like oct.2004bride, octbride2004. I'm sure I'm not getting either of those right, but that only proves my point.

I just hate to see people's feelings hurt by this kind of stuff, because it turns into some sort of High School Popularity contest. I don't know about the rest of you, but the best part of High School for me was when it was OVER.

There are those who will say 'Well that's easy for you to say because you get mentioned a lot.' Yeah, I do, but it's mainly from people like Jax and Michal, who I hang out with IRL, so it doesn't count. Besides, when I have the time to be on here, I'm a great big (obnoxious) loudmouth with an easy to remember screen name.

Everyone in the world is loved (not just liked) by someone. For goodness' sake, we all had weddings, with bridal parties, and people came to them!!!!!!! You think they were there for the free food? They brought presents, didn't they?

Well, most of them did!

(if you don't count the guy who crashed my wedding- his parents were invited, so he came by to see them and stayed the whole night...but, he was really nice and wore a tux, so it's all good)

Now i would understand if this was a thread about pointing out the people you like or WHO likes you but it isn't. It is MY curiousity about how you feel here...
How can that hurt someones feelings?
In fact there was no need for a response at all...hence the poll....
I think you long response was a little miss directed...
I understand what you are saying but in this case, inappropriate JMO

And if people want to say how they like so and so...it isn't any different then the name posts that we see all over the boards! Or the 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to some and not everyone...It happens it is a part of life...If people are hurt by it, it is sad but a little silly!

I dont think there is anyone on here who are liked or disliked by everyone, and to be honest there is not anyone on here that I dont like (except for the fakies that come on here to be rude!).

Maybe some like me, maybe some don't. Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but I dont think anyone can really judge anyone else unless they get to know them.

I think LIW is a lot like high school in a way. I have a group of great friends that I dearly miss over the weekend but I'm sure there are several people who don't like me. I'm sure there are people who do like me that I never guessed would. But that's just the way life is, no? I mean you can't expect everyone to get along all of the time...and you can't expect people to see eye to eye on all topics. There are people on here also that I don't necessarily agree with at all times, and can have heated words with, but I still like and respect them and vice versa.

Regardless, I have made some great friends on LIW and I prefer to focus on that rather than who may or may not like me. Still, it is nice to be liked...
