do you tip............

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope everyone is having a beautiful rainy day. I have 1 question did you guys ever tip or going to tip for hair and makeup trial.

I tipped for my make-up trial because I loved the way it came out and I got it done at MAC (which is free but, you're supposed to buy some make-up). Of course I ended up buying more than I planned on.

You should definitely tip....ESPECIALLY if you plan on using the same people for your wedding day! They will definitely remember what you tip them, so if you use them on your wedding day and want them to do their best, tip them very well!

see heres the thing. If I get my trial done which is $150 shes doing my hair for free the day of my wedding and the girl for my make-up is charging me 200 for everything. So I dont know what to do

ITA! I know some make-up artists and they want to do well no matter what, but they do remember the tips.

I think that is sad if a vendors 'best work' depends on whether or not you tip them.

What am I paying them for?

I think thats so true. They should being do a good to get more recommodiations not because they want a nice tip.

Thats hard......I feel its sooo difficult to tip if u are paying 150 for services....thats alot of money that most ppl are just doing for their wedding day that u wouldn't normally spend regularly. Its a recession and I feel like maybe they are better off just adding it in the price if they didn't do so already because thats alot for a trial and the actual day gets worst

I tip for my trials. At least 20% of the fee or more if they did a great job.

I did - my makeup trial was free so I gave her a generous tip. My hair trial was with my regular hair stylist so I tipped her as always.

Who did ur makeup???? I would definately give a tip for free makeup.
