HELP QUICK!!! I'm going to my tasting today and was wondering if you tip the host (and if so, how much -- it's going to be 6 of us). The tasting is not an added charge (it's part of our contract), but I'm still wondering if we should tip and if so how much.
Please let me know your thoughts ASAP -- I have to leave in an hour.

Re: DO YOU TIP AT TASTINGS?
We have went to 3 tastings for places we are considering, not booked yet. We tipped the waiter who waited on us, 6 of us, not the manager. We gave them 15-20.00. They were very professional like we were having a dinner with champagne and all.

Re: DO YOU TIP AT TASTINGS?
I don't know if you are or not. My theory is you are paying enough for the wedding and goingto be tipping everyone there. This is really suppose to be part of their sales plan. I thought you go to a tasting before you book so you know weither the food is good or bad then.
So my answer if I really don't know.
But let me know how it goes since I am getting married there too and never did a tasting b/c I went off of a bunch of recommendations.

Yes, you should tip the wait staff. We tipped $15 for two of us the other night when we went.

Re: DO YOU TIP AT TASTINGS?
I agree but I dont... I know we have to save save save.. but it wasnt really a tasting... I mean we all had full meals.. and there was alot of us.. and he was right on top of us with whatever drinks we wanted and things we needed, knew every food backwards and fowards.. I look at it as a young kid trying to make some $$.. what if that was my FH working a second job to try to pay off our wedding? he did his job very well and its the same thing as going to a resturant.. why shouldnt I tip him b/c im coming back for my wedding in a year...
