Do you want to buy a puppy???

Original post by hsacks23r

My daughter is going to be 7 in a month so me and FH agreed that its time to get her a dog. We went down to Yuppie Puppy NOW A&G’s JUST PUPPIES, in Port Jefferson.
FH and I went down 1st with out our daughter…found a cute Toy Fox Terrier. The DOG is A HE at this point, and is $495.00. WE both agreed we would come back with Emily and if she likes it we would bring it home. We came back in 1hr. The dog was still there, they bring us into a room so we can aquatint ourselves with the dog. SHE wants the dog. FH goes out into another room to discuses price (now $450.00) and all the info needed. He is told that he does not get “breeders rights”. Now as you read this ask your self what does this mean “breeder’s right”—you can not breed the dog ok we just want him as a pet not to breed no big deal. Now papers are filled out, payment info is given, we are told we DO NOT GET PAPERS for the dog to prove he is a pure breed. WHAT well I told you that before, you are “adopting” the animal (because we are not paying full price) so you DO not get the papers…do we need these papers??? How much for you to now give us the papers ??? An extra $100.00 we say OK…..the woman that original wrote up the paper work now has to fill out another form because we are now not “adopting” the FEMALE dog….yes now HE is a SHE because they did not give us the correct info. The woman says to us with a complete attitude WELL now I have to fill out a WHOLE nother form and THIS will take me SOME TIME. So FH says don’t make it out to be my fault that you have to do YOUR WORK. She get all huffy and puffy and runs to get her managers….to make a long story short the manager Anna Diita said right in front of our Daughter I WILL NOT SELL YOU THIS DOG… (we were unfit to own the dog because, she blew up the whole situation) (we wanted the papers –that she did not have and could not produce she would rather just not sell us the dog) SO now what does a father do?? He told her he will be bringing this dog home with us….he stayed there and told her I will not leave until you sell me this dog!!!! Another long story short…after 1hr she called the cops ( she was very hesitant to do this) The cops came, we left nicely and the COP said GOOD thing you did not get the dog…this place has the WORST DOGS, they get sick…and the owners of the store drop there hands. You supposedly get 4yr warranty if the dog get sick or dies they will give you a new one THEY DON’T. They have the cops there on a regular basis, people picket in front of the store because they do not take care of the dogs and just run a poor business. SO EMILY still does not have a dog but she will get one. Please if you are thinking of ever getting a dog DO NOT go to Yuppie Puppies AKA JUST Puppies (due to all the law suits as per the cop they had to change there name) in Port Jefferson.

Re: Do you want to buy a puppy???

it is hard we have a golden - my mom fell in love with him at a pet shop - this one is usually pretty god - only have a few dogs at a time - but he has both eplipsy and hyper thyroid - you just feel bad ofr him

but then agin it is hard- we bread one of our golden's when i was a kid- still have the son but we only found after breading that the father had eplipsy -we were lucky only one of the 6 puppies ended up getting it also - pure breads have a lot of problem - i think that is why people are mixing breads more again - want healthier dogs that work better for their enviroment

it takes a lot of research to find a dog that works for each person especially if you only have a condo - there are some great dogs but you really have yto know how active they are - i hate seeing really active dogs not have an outside area to run most of the day - i really want my own but waiting till i have more time for one

Hi I sent you FM again with the info you asked for!

By the way here is my purebred Shih-Tzu -- Pronounced Sheed zu.. They come from tibetan orgin. I love my furbaby! Shih-Tzu's are great for children and they are very lovable and have great disposition.

Here he is in his Santa outfit this past Christmas!
