I just realized today that my cat Hades has a phobia of wires! At first it was just the vacuum cleaner, which is reasonable since it is loud. But then I noticed he was afraid of the toaster...Wierd! Then today I was putting the power cord to my laptop away and he ran away from me and hid under the bed. Do any of your pets have odd phobias?

Oh, I have another one. My FILs have a 160-lb dog, Romulus, who is afraid of going through certain doorways...but only in one direction. He doesn't mind going through the doorway in the other direction.

REggie is scared of heights! when we carry him down steps he started breathing really heavy and gets all stiff-- he's scared we might drop him or something. He wont look us in the eye-- its kind of funny his expression when he is scared.

Both of mine do not like thunder or fireworks. My rottie hates when I use any aerosol spray, i.e., Pam, Lysol, etc.

Peanut used to be afraid of the stairs. But recently she has gotten over it.
She is afraid of the vacuum and jumping on the bed when Im laying down. If Im sitting up its no problem, but for some reason when I lay down she wont jump up

Casey hates loud noises - she freaks if she hears a motorcycle or a loud truck. Oh yes - the vacuum - she is terrified.
My cat TJ has a fear of plastic bags - he got tangled up in one once and I found him so twisted up I had to cut the bag off of him He won't go near them now.

No, its totally funny. He's so big and yet he's still afraid of things (the vaccuum cleaner is also another one. Even when its turned off)

My cat flew out the window (2nd story house) once because he got trapped in a plastic bag. Now he is terrified everytime he hears the sound of a plastic bag. However if you leave one lying around he'll have no problems crawling into it again. Silly cat.
