I know they deal with alot of people everyday and are not going to have a very personal relationship with you, but everytime I talk to them I feel like I am just another number to them...
For example. I called my limo company last week and spoke to the guy I booked with about changing the guys pickup location.. he told me to email him the details. So I did that this morning.. I put my name in the subject, put all the information etc.... I get a reply back 'Sorry I don't see a reservation for you on that day, if you need more help please call 1-800....'
First of all I KNOW i have a reservation because I have the confirmation and I spoke with him about 5 days ago to be exact.. and second if he really couldnt find it don't I deserve more than a 'sorry' email and a 1-800 number.. dont I deserve at least a 'lets figure this out give me more info' email?? So dumb. I actually deleted it and decided I will deal with that closer to the wedding.
I got the same vibe from my Photog a few weeks ago. I saw him at a bridal showcase.. I know that they see a bunch of people but he had NO idea who I was.. I mean I didnt take my epics that long ago and I spent a good 2 hours with him.. he cant even recognize my face?
ok im done.. I dont really care.. just wonderig if anyone else gets a little annoyed by this.

Some of the vendors make me feel like that like my RH...the bm at times doesnt respond to my emails which frustrates me..photog I havent seen..my florist was not like that at all and she has been great as well as my DOC. I havent dealt with the limo and dont plan to until later and my DJ has not been bad in communication.
I know its a business and us brides get consumed with our weddings but we all have to remember we are clients to them and they ahve other brides who think the same way we do.
Take it all in stride and just hope they provide you with quality service on thee day of. thats all that matters anyway.

That is totally annoying. I would hate that... I have to say though, that I felt important to each of our vendors so much so that I am having a bit of withdrawal from not talking to them lol. I think I might just show up at CLM to hang out with Nick. Just because people are busy doesnt mean that they can't take care of you, their client! Id open up a can of whoop a ss on them! I totally get that too, I mean certain vendors I understand them not remembering me when I met them once a year ago. But we’ve met our BM like 5 different times and he STILL introduces himself to us like we’ve never met!
But I actually think it’s worse when a vendor still acts like we’re BFFs even when I know they have NO CLUE who I am.

Well I have zero complaints about Paradise so thats good! I actually love Rosie so much. I swear that woman gets me so excited when she calls me about something... she goes on and on about how beautiful I will look etc... she is the cutest.

Haha yea she is adorable...im glad you have no complaints..i was just posting that as a silly joke...you can come see me anytime and I will make sure you feel like your day is the only one that matters But i so agree with you that vendors need to realize that even though they have a million brides each one feels like THEIR day is the most important...if they can't do that, then maybe they need to take on less clientele

I haven't really felt that, but I also don't keep in really close contact with my vendors. I kind of leave them be, because at this point I don't really need anything from them. Me and FH are a pretty distinct couple though, so we've always been recognized at showcases, coming back for meetings, etc. I only foresee one vendor maybe having this reaction with me, but it's to be kind of expected from that one.

I've felt that way but just because THEY may feel that I'm less important doesn't mean that I feel that I'm less important if that makes any sense.

Some of my vendors are like this and its annoying I always feel like I have to explain who I am. Others are very nice and understanding.

hmmm, I have to say, I guess I'm pretty lucky.... All my vendors seem to have gone above and beyond in this area. I was just telling one of the girls I work with that it's amazing to me that they remember me and FH, even to the point of some of them remembering where I work and asking specific questions about how things at work are and all. My BM has to be the best, she always asks about my Mom (and remembers my Mom's first name!). The limo company called last week and was apologizing up and down that they accidentally wrote our quote for more money than it should have been and that the balance on my contract is actually a whole whopping $30 less than what they wrote, I have to say this impressed me, I never would have even noticed or questioned it. Little things like that go a very long way with FH and I.
