D.O.C?

So my hall gives me a bridal attendent but I was considering getting 1 to make sure evrything is set up right and to just handle to major emergencys, should I even do that though? Im kinda unsure what the bridal attendents do exactly?

Honestly, (and this is my personal opinion.) had we not won the service of a DOC at TWOTY i would not be gettign one. Its a lot of money and we just didnt have it. The details of our wedding are not so complicated that they can't be handled by our RH. its completely your chocie. Some people will tell you its a necessity, i will disagree though!

edit: dont get me wrong, i am SO thrilled to have Gina, but it would not have fit into our budget.

IDK either but I am sure they are prob great to have.

In this economy I am not paying anyone to do something a fam member can do for free....I have 6 bridesmaid an MOH and a mom!Things will get handled. Plus I am an Excel Queen I will have everything mapped out. of course unexpected things happen but I plan to just go with the flow.

I got a DOC b/c the bridal attendant wil bustle your dress and help you out but they cater more you - although a DOC does that she/he is also generally responsible for helping everything running smottthly - she/he knows your plans/agreeents in advance which a bridal attendant goes that. Plus, someone representing you will give the matrie'D an earful, someone who works there will not.

Also, My ceremony is not at the hall - I think a DOC is def a plus in that case.

Let me know if you need a a referral. My DOC is reasonably priced and after research and a few meetings she was an easy choice.

I totally want a DOC! that would be so awesome for someone else to just worry about everything and you really can relax and enjoy your day. Your bridal attendant takes care of any of the RH issues.. but what if you have issues with other vendors? Like your florist forgets cps? The bridal attendant doesnt deal with that and the DOC will.. this happened to my friend and I felt so bad for her.

If you are interested I heard that Ryan from Above and Beyond Events is running a sale till the end of this month for a full DOC package

OMG YES! Get one! Lisa at Elite Affiars was ours and her prices are great compared to most others. She went above and beyond what the attendant does from setting up everything at the church for us to going into the ch to grab family members for picks. She even came to the rehearsal to organize the bp. I dont know what I would have done without her...she just lifted a HUGe weight from our shoulders so we could enjoy our day without being bothered by little things that may have arisen.
