I am considering a DOC for the wedding. Can you tell me who you used and if you thought it was necessary to have one (like what they did for you on the wedding day?)
My wedding should be around 250 people and our bridal party is 20 BM/GM and 9 kids. (yes not a typo...)
I dont mind chaos.. but I figured if I didnt get a DOC... my mother would take charge.. which may not be the best idea.

whoa that is a huge BP. I'm using Christine from Exquisite Affairs Production; she's so nice and I've read nothing but good reviews on them. There are a few brides on LIW that have used her, I know Egem a 2009 bride used her; not sure of her entire name. But she did a review so you can find her on those boards.
Her prices are also great.
I've also heard great things about Above and Beyond.

WOW...if I were you I'd definitely get a DOC just so you have someone to herd all those people around...that way your Mom and everyone else can enjoy the day and nobody has to stress about things.
We are getting one (we have 7 people total in our BP, 1 child...just for reference) and I couldn't be happier. We are using Vanessa from By Your Side Events, if you want more info just FM me...I love her!

im 99% sure we are getting a DOC and if I do I am probably going to go through Perfect Wedding Planner since they will know my hall the best.

Gina from Bleu Diamond Events! She was absolutely phenomenal! I didnt htink it was necessary but in hindsight it was the best thing ever...we didnt worry about ANYTHING! She did everything for us so that we could enjoy your day...she is a great person, so professional and absolutely hilarious! She really knows her stuff1

I hired Katie from Sara Kate Events and she is awesome! I have a large BP also (though not as large as yours ) and I needed someone to help me organize everyone. yeah my wedding is around 300 and i wouldnt dream of having itwithout a DOC lol
im using Vanessa from By Your Side Events, and she does everything and anything foryou that day, esp with a large bp, youll need someone to help gather up the troops for pics, vanessa comes to the rd to get to know faces for the day of, comes to fitting to know how to bustle your dress and sooooo muchhhh more!!!!!!!!!

def get. It will be worth it i believe! I have a lot of DIY stuff that needs to be set up and they will be handling all that and making sure all my vendors give me what i asked for and yadda yadda. Im using PWP
