I am not really sure exactly what they do? Are they like a wedding planner??

They do EVERYTHING for you the day of. They handle any potential problems (to the point where you shouldnt even know there was a problem). They'll handle all your vendors. Before the wedding, they look over all your contracts and contact any vendors that need to be contacted. Theyll handle tips for you. They really do anything and everything.

My DOC is my life saver! No really, they run the 'show' on the day of your wedding to insure things run smoothly and take a lot of stress out of your life.
They are a wedding planner, only they take over a month or two before the wedding.

these are some of the things they do:

Attend/conduct rehearsal
Instruct and oversee all duties of participants
Oversee set-up
Assist bride & maids with dressing
Supervise all vendors and professionals
(Including photographers, florist, and caterers)
Ensure everything runs as planned
Handle necessary payments
Supervise entire ceremony and reception
Attend to guests' special needs
