How many of you feel you defiantly need a DOC? Is it a waste of money if you are on a budget? I just feel like spending 500 on something that can go towards something else isn't worth it. What's everyone's take?

Re: DOC
I originally wanted one but recently told FH I don't want one. I think that if you plan and organize your day enough...it will go smooth. I now think it's sort of a waste of money. I'm leaning towards just having a close friend confirm everything the day of the wedding to make sure everything is as it should be.
FH thinks we should just spend the money and have 'worry free heads' the day of the wedding. I'm not 100% sure yet though. it really depends on how much it will cost..

Re: DOC
We are having a small wedding so we are not having one. I think everything will go smoothly without one.
JMO..if people are having large weddings or a lot of DIY's I might think it was worth it

Re: DOC
I'm using one I'm not paying an outragous price and I'm so exciting to be working with my doc. I don't want to know or worry about a darn thing the day of and I want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves too. I just find it worth the money to have someone the day of to make sure things are going right and keep everything on schedule.

Re: DOC
I think I will use one because there are things that I just don't want to worry about the day of that I think a DOC could take care of. I can;t be everywhere at once so I think it's worth the piece of mind.. If you don't foresee any problems with anything maybe just careful planning would eliminate the need for one.. I have a bunch of things I've already forecasted happening (like people doing things that they shouldn't) so I think a DOC is a must for me.

Re: DOC
I'm gonna have my MOH (sister) just call to double check stuff in the morning. Really, she just has to confirm the florist and the limos. My RH will confirm the entertainment. I will be in contact the day before with my photographer. As long as all my vendors show up at the right time then it will be fine. I am expecting a few bumps....just nothing major. I will most likely just confirm with everyone the day before and give them my sisters cell number for last minute questions or problems. After all, she is the MAID of honor

Re: DOC
I have a coordinator and honestly I don't know what I would have done without her. I always knew I would get one so her fee was already in my budget. To me it wasn't an option because I go to school full time I work full time and I have a child so I knew I was going to need a substantial amount of help. If you feel you can handle it yourself then go for it!

Re: DOC
I never even really considered it. What type of problems would she take care of the of the wedding. I am not really sure exactly what they do.
