What is the purpose of a DOC?

They oversee your day (or part of it). My DOC is taking charge of our ceremony music (I'm not a fan of organ music)

I'm using Chrissi from Fairy Tale events..she has been great so far. Very responsive to emails, messages and anything else that pops up.

I sooo need one! Hopefully I have some luck with the contest. If not I am gonna have to squeeze blood from a stone to find the money to get one! lol

I am using Simply Couture

she is fairly new, but she was VERY affordable

i really just need someone to be there the day of, in the event of any drama, to deal with vendors, be my emergency kit etc

so far she has been great and very helpful

I'm using Cheeky Glam Events...LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! They have a FB page and website is under construction.

they are there to take care of the little things that you need done so you don't have to stress out about them (confirming vendors, flowers, church setup and things like distribution of programs/flowers/bubbles) and make sure everything is perfect..and anything else you want think of.

Modern Day Affair

I am a total control freak and the day of I do not want to be in charge of anything. So I figure, if I am going to relinquish control I want to know my wedding day is in the hands of professionals.

I'm using Exquisite Affairs Productions. Christine Viola and Annie Fonseca are amazing!!!!

Day of Coordination package, Services as follows:

Arriving at the bride’s preparation location and departing after the introductions (maximum of eight hours.) After the introductions, we leave you in the trustworthy hands of your Maitre’ D / Captain / Bridal Attendant while you dine, drink, and dance the night away!
Organizing, consulting, and attending the rehearsal.
An extensive timeline, tipping guide and checklist for the day of the wedding.
Ensuring all vendors are confirmed, scheduled, and in place before the wedding and on the day of.
EAP will be the sole contact for all vendors on the week and day of the wedding.
Distribution of all remaining vendor balances and gratuities (at the discretion of client).
Supervising all activities such as:
- Processional and Recessional
- Photo session coordination and management
- Transportation coordination and management
- Bridal Party Introductions
- Reception timeline (dances, toasts, cake cutting, etc.)

Inspection and confirmation of venue layout and set-up.
Full access to our preferred vendors (discount may apply.)
Providing the “Super Something” Wedding Day Emergency Kit

im friends with them on fb but never asked...are they reasonable?

I'm not getting one. Personally, i'm a control freak and wont let anyone take control...and i know if i got one, it would be a waste of $, for me.

Also, my BM at Sand Castle said that they just get in the way becuase my matire dees and bridal attendants help out with payments and set up etc
