Re: DOC or no DOC

After much thought, I dont think I am going with one. I decided I can use that money elsewhere. Flowers should be set up by my florist.... I remember Joe from Camelot limos saying that sometimes the limo drivers will help with line up at the church lol..... and when we get to Jericho Terrace, that is what the matre d is for and the bridal attendant. I've seen weddings without a DOC and things have worked out nicely If I had the extra cash laying around, of course.... I just dont think its necessary.

I am not having one. The Garden City Hotel provides us with two bridal attendants along with an amazing staff so I have faith that everything will be taken care of. I also went to visit the Carlyle on the Green and the staff seemed very capable, AND they have a very good reputation so I absolutely think you will be in good hands. They are reputable for a reason. As for your ceremony, I would talk to your mom and MOH about that and do some research to decide whether or not you think one is necessary. Good luck!!

I thought about having one and decided not to. I didn't think there was anything they could do that the bridal attendant or the maitre d couldn't take care of, and the extra expense didn't seem worth it to me...we were strapped at that point financially after paying for everything lol. However a couple of things happened that I wonder if a DOC would have been able to take care of...little things, but still things nonetheless. If I were to do it over again I think I would have one to be honest. If you have the extra money I say go for it...if you don't remember it's not necessary to hire one to have a fun and beautiful wedding.
