DOC Question

For whoever has used a DOC, can someone explain to me what they do? Is it worth the price? Can you recommend a company with reasonable rates? Thanks!

Re: DOC Question

They pretty much take care of everything. Go over your contracts, confirm with vendors, make sure hte ceremony & wedding flows, keeps yoiur detials in order, hands out programs, gets the fam ready for pictures, hands out tips, etc. A lot of us are using Cheeky Glam for our DOC.

Re: DOC Question

I used A Modern Day Affair and was so happy that I had them to help things run smoothly that day. They give you 2 DOCs for the day. I had one at my RH, making sure everything was set up correctly, before the wedding started, and the other was with us, during pictures, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and that kind of stuff (and holding my lipstick, which was one of the best things ). Plus they confrim vendors before hand, and answer any questions that you have during the planning process. Definitely not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be and definitely worth the money!

I'm going back and forth on this myself. Some people love them and others say they are not necessary that is what your bridal attendant & matrie d are there for. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. If your really interested try create new occasions (they have a FB page) or Cheeky Glam (also on FB). HTH

What everyone else said. I'm using Christine from Piece of Cake events & I love her!

Some people feel they don't need one but for me, the money is worth having peace of mind on my wedding day.

It's worth every penny...and really gave us peace of mind to enjoy our wedding. We used Cheeky Glam. those girls are amazing!!

Re: DOC Question

Thanks everyone. I am going to look into those places. I guess making sure things run smoothly with the guys, the church, the details, the photos is pretty helpful since I can't be in 5 places at once. And we have 3 sets of families (my mom, his fam & my dad) so having someone to organize the people for photos would be nice - that would be worth every penny!

Re: DOC Question

Do you guys think they get in the way of the Maitre'D or the bridal attendants? Or they pretty much work all together...

They defintely all worked together with no problems at my wedding. I think they were all glad to have more people around to take care of different things that needed to be done.

Re: DOC Question

I am sure they work well with your Maitre D. I think the bridal attenadants might feel less needed depending on how interactive the DOC is. I think its worth it especially if you have a family memember that can stress you out. For me its my mom and they are going to keep her away from me. You can always hire them for half a day so that they help you pack up your stuff at the end of the night.

THIS! I am using Cheeky Glam, and DOC's also help with questions you have prior to the day. It is worth the money!

For those of you that posted saying you used a DOC, would you mind shooting me an FM with the name of the company you used and the price you paid? I would really appreciate it!

They all know their roles and they work together...and really do have different jobs to help achieve a wedding that runs smoothly and you can enjoy!

Re: DOC Question

We used Chrissi from Fairytale Events....LOVE HER..we got married in our church and then she was at our RH until our 1st dance. It was a great relief since she helped with some hiccups.

Super nice and really friendly. If we renew our wedding vows in a few years liked planned we will definately be using her again.
