Doctor Recommendation

I'm hoping someone can help with this.

I need a recommendation for a female doctor (GP) for my wife that isn't a mill. The staff at her current doctor are extremely rude and obnoxious, and to just get in to see the doc is extremely tough. They schedule appointments (if she's sick) at least a week or two out, and for a physical -- forget it! She just tried to schedule one and they want to make her wait 4 or 5 months. They act like they're doing her a favor for scheduling an appointment and we're tired of it.

We're in the New Hyde Park, Floral Park, Garden City (Nassau/Queens border) general area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Please PM if you're more comfortable with that.

i go to Dr Luchs
She is part of a group in Lake Success - Pro Health
They will see you same day for a sick visit however you may not see your doctor, you will get to see one of the doctors in the practice. but for physical and scheduled appts i love her

Thanks, but her current doc is another at Pro Health group, so that wouldn't work.

Good luck finding a great doctor! I also go to a doctor at pro health and she is the WORST! She is hardly ever there and didn't want me to see a specialist when I had an alarming blood test...well I went anyway and it turns out I have lupus! Good doctors are hard to come by and it seems the staff at these places are HORRIBLE...seriously why are they so rude?

All Island OBGYN, I see the nurse Practiioner there names melanie Jackson. she is awesome. They also have late hours. I know when I was a new patient, I just told them I had to be seen right away for a woman issue, they took right away and I've been there for over 15 yrs. Make sure to ask for her though, I can speak fo rthe rest of the staff. It is a nice office in Garden City. My sister goes to her as well and loves her.

Thanks to everyone for replying. Again, not looking for an OBGYN. Rather, looking for a female general practitioner (GP) for regular checkups, physicals, sick visits, and so on.
