I'm getting my BMs necklaces, chinese slippers, and their hair done. But I wanted to get something for them alone, as well, something not wedding related. I was thinking of doing $50 each giftcards to
For Tiffany's, Anthropologie, and Coach, most items are more than $50. So is the gift card nice, or cheap?
ETA: may give Tiffany's card as much more, to give her a special MOH gift. She has a ton of Tifffany's so this way she can pick out what she doesn't have.

I think a $50 GC is great, it's certainly helpful if it doesn't cover the entire cost. I'm sure your girls will appreciate it!!

i received a $25 gc to nordstroms and frankly feel like it is a waste b/c most stuff there costs SO much more. I would get the GC but to a store that they could actually spend it without having to add to it.

IMHO, GC are great. I always spend a little more than I would on a given item if I have a gift card. I think of it as free money. For example, if $100 is the most I would spend on a new pair of boots, but I saw a pair for $125, and I had a GC, I would buy them - b/c I didn't actually spend more than the $100.

You could also look into doing Visa or AMEX gift cards so they can use them anywhere.

I think if the GC is for a store they would normally shop at then Its a great gift no matter what the amount becasue you know they'll use it.
But if its astore they don't shop at and everything is expensive then I think its not such a good idea becaseu then you are forcing them to either spend money they would otherwise not spend or have the GC go tot waste becaseu they won't use it. HTH

Your'e right. I think instead of Coach I could give Victoria's secret or sephora GCs to my BMs. I looked, and you can get a lot of skirts at anthroplogie on sale for well under $50, and you can get a ton of things on ebay for under $50. But coach was a stretch.

I agree with this. And I think a GC is a great idea! Especially since you are getting them each a necklace, slippers, and their hair done, the GC is a very nice extra gift to give them to make it more personal. I would be very happy if I got a GC from a bride!
