if i can have 2 maid of honors at church..i have a maid of honor and matron but being my matron has no time and just had a baby. she isnt even coming to my bachlorette party and hasnt asked me if i needed any help whatsoever. I know shes exteremly busy but my poor moh and my fsil booked my bachlorette party and come with me to do things and i feel that my fsil should be one as well.. i want to speak to her and see if she will on her own will step down as a bridesmaid and then i can ask my fsil who i am close to to be my maid of honor.
she was upset and i feel terrible that i didnt choose her with my cousin who they are both the sisters i never had.
so i am not sure if its allowed in a catholic church or not...i want to find out before i have the talk to my matron.
thanks girls

Yes, you can. But only one can stand up with you at the altar.

I mean, maybe every church is different, but that has been my experience. My older sister had both me and my other sister for her MOH's (one matron and one maid) and she had to choose between us for who was going to stand up on the altar with her. My girlfriend (who's getting married at a different church) had the same situation.

My church is letting both stay up there.

i think mine does as well...now to get her to step down without me asking her even tho i should just ask since she shows no interest whatsoever

Re: does any1 kno
our catholic church is allowing both of my MOHs to stand at the altar with me. only one needs to sign the license though.

Re: does any1 kno
im so stressed out and never expected to have this talk almost 6 mts before my wedding not to mention i had to wait till she gave birth to order her dress which we are doing this week!! they are all wearing the same so im not worried bout that but im under alot of stress and my nerves are shot
i wish i can call her and talk to her but i much rather do it in person even tho i am very impatient

My cousin had two and both of us were allowed to sit next to her on the alter, however only 1 of us could sign the Marriage License....
