Does anybody else not care about their weight anymore?
I have decided not to care anymore. I am very happy at my weight (even though slightly overweight) and I am sick of people saying to me, 'Aren't you on a diet? Aren't you getting married soon?' I don't care. Of course I am not going to eat like crazy but I enjoy food and in these months leading up to my wedding I want to be happy!! I think I look very good in my dress and it fits great. I just wanted to vent! Thank you

Nah i am still nervous...but i am a lazy arse and haven't even tried to diet

If you feel great...then you will look great. Don't worry about what everyone else says! You have a great attitude....I wish I could just be the same way.

Me too! Well, I'm not overweight at all.....but I always think I could be thinner! And it seems like if I eat really good or go a little crazy, I always end up the same.....so I've decided to stop obsessing....and I feel a lot happier!

I care, but only to a point. I lost 17 lbs. since January and I'm only being halfway 'good' now. I am healthy, active and not willing to kill myself to fit society's idea of what I should be or look like. I, too, LOVE my dress and think it looks great. That's all that matters.
When I hear older women say things like, 'I was a size 6 when I got married' it makes me want to gag. One of these days I'm going to fire back and remind them they were also 20 years old when they wed. When I was 20, I had a great body too! It is amazing what 9 years will do to a person...
If people comment on your weight or your dieting, shove some food in their mouth. That'll quiet 'em down!
(BTW, I'm not usually this hostile. Long day.)

I am still caring about my weight but not so much to do with the wedding. I have lost 23 lbs on WW and have had weight fluctuations my whole life that I am tired of, so for that I still care. If you are happy with yourself and how you look, that is all that truly matters!

i just started to care...
i never had to before, but age is catching up to me. if i don't look good, i don't feel good. i feel and look good when i eat right and exercise - i haven't done that in a while and i hope i get into the groove again soon!
i'd like to loose 5-10 pounds for the wedding, but if it doesn't happen i am not going to sweat it...

I really don't care about my weight for the wedding...Everyone there knows what I look like already! I care more about the honeymoon, just because I usually don't have pics. of me in a bikini...I had originally wanted to lose 5 lbs. before the wedding, but I don't care enough to stop eating my Phish Food...yum

The way I figure it, my dress is big and poofy...it will hide any imperfections!
Honestly, I gave up caring in August (right after I got engaged) and somehow in the last month and a half I have gone from a sie 8 clothes to a size 6...So let nature take its course!
And if that doesnt work try planning a wedding, buying a house and starting a new job, I contribute my sudden weight loss to stress!

Oh God I WISH I didn't care !! But I am the most critial person (of myself at least) and I know I won't be happy or comfortable - and for as much as i LOVE my gown, I won't love it on me until I'm thin . - I'm not FAT......I'm not thin........haha

Your FH loves you the way you are and you are happy so there's no reason for you to diet. Other people need to mind their own business. I know they mean well, but it's not their life.
My grandmother is a wonderful wonderful woman, but so obsessed with everyone's weight. She is constantly harping that my cousin is heavier than average. I won't let her talk about that in front of me though. And do you know that she actually asked me what dress size I ordered when we were on the phone the other day! Why does the size matter if I look and feel good? (BTW- This weight issue is really her only flaw. She's lovely about everything else.)

numerous times i kept going on a diet(ww) and would lose then go off of it... it only led to more frustration for me and my fh, so i decided to enjoy myself and just try to watch what i eat, and how i exercise, and i have felt better...

i dont care anymore - and i agree i am sick of people asking if i am on a diet - like you can be a beautiful bride if you are bigger - well poof on people - hmpf sorry this kinda turned into a vent - LOL

Same here. Never had weight issues until I hit my twenties and with each passing year... But, we're talking 4 lbs for me so if I lose it or I don't, it's not going to make that much of a difference I guess. I'd like to though.

I wish I didn't care, I have gained 20 pounds since I've been with DH. I'm not overweight but I have always been conscious of my weight. All I think about is food and fat!!!!
