$400?!? Holy crap!
I agree it's alot of money, and it feels like a rip off. When it comes to weddings. I definitley feel vendors take advantage.
That said, I'm spending alot on hair and makeup. I feel like I don't have much of a choice if I don't want to do it myself.

My hair and makeup trial is free.. Make up is $40 dollars the day of and Hair is $75, both people come to you.. FM me if you would like more info!

YES. I do feel that they are to expensive. And disgustingly so.
Example:
I called my salon that I wanted to use for hair and makeup for my Sunday Morning Wedding. They told me that since they would have to open early on a Sunday, they would be charging me DOUBLE. I then asked them if it would make any difference that was bringing in EIGHT bridesmaids as well as two mothers and a flower girl. Since I was bringing them so much business they would surely help. But no.
I have my final waxing appt. with them tonight and then I'm looking for a new salon. Anyone know a good salon for waxing in Nassau County, preferably around East Meadow or so?

I don't feel it's too expensive, I just hated the way it felt. I did my makeup myself. I ended up spending $200 on all new MAC stuff, but it was worth it and I didn't feel like a clown all day.

My makeup artist charges the same amount of money no matter if you're the bride, MOB or BM. She charges $75.00 BUT if you have 4 or more getting makeup done, she only charges $60.00 - pretty cheap if you ask me. I'm not sure how much I'm paying for hair - I'm going to my regular salon and using the girl who does amazing 'up-do's'. I would pay more anyway as long as they do a good job- it's a once in a lifetime (for most I hope) event. JMHO.
