Does anyone else feel this way ever?

I read a lot of the forums here, but I don't post so much. In the B helping B forum there was a whole thread about how ppl asked their bridesmaids to be in the party, etc. Everyone had such cute ideas. Everyone has such cute ideas about everything. I feel like such a boring, blah, negative person b/c I would never have thought to write poems for my friends asking them to be in the wedding. Does anyone else suffer from an inferiority complex like this? Its really got me down.

We all have different styles...take ideas from this site and make them your own...or just read and enjoy...you are you and that's why your day is your day, and your way...your way of doing things is special to you and that's all that matters...you are in no way inferior!

Awww don't feel like that. I'm sure so many brides (including myself) don't make up every little unique and fun idea about their wedding themselves. We share ideas and get inspiration from each other

Honestly, I really think it depends on the way you interact with your friends... Personally, I could never see msyelf writing up a poem and such. Just not my style. I'm a pretty blunt/dont beat around the bush kinda person, so I will just ask them. I don't have that type of rel with my girls where we scream and yell when we see each other and run to one another for the hugs and kisses... That was just never me i dunno...

But I def want to do something for my junior bm's and junior gm... They are still young enough where they would loveeee to get something cute and feel all special

I think that's a cute idea. I've heard of sort of like a care package with manicure supplies, a little notepad and pen and the best... asprin for those bridezilla moments

oh trust me, i feel ya on this one.
I called my bm's up on the phone and was like... uhhhh if youre not too busy would you like to be in my bridal party?

i feel totally boring and blah. we didnt have an engagement party or anything either.

there are plenty of days where i feel inferior lol

i understand how you feel - i totally dropped the ball on asking everyone - i did it the night i got engaged LOL and i just said 'you are in it' i didnt even ask! LOL

i stink

BUT what i did was i bought wedding paper - and i got all wedding scrapbooking stuff - they have REALLY cute BM stuff. . .and i made a 'newsletter'

I included all the information they needed like dresses and stuff but if you arent ready for that you can just thank them for being in it and give them some information ( like include everyone's phone numbers etc) mine included:

a thank you
where to buy the dress and how much, plus alterations
what kind of shoes they could get ( any ) lol
hair and makeup info if they want to get it done with me
and other little things like that!

its not too late! lol

I understand exactly how you feel.
My friends just knew they were in my wedding.
My BF since kindergarden told ME that she was my Maid Of Honor.
But there are other cool little details i have planned for my wedding.
No two brides are exactly alike, how boring would that be anyway

Hahaha my BF said the same exact thing... She called it way back in HS! I just have the prob that she is a bit umm ditzy and i really dunno if i can leave her in charge of things ... shed prob forget stuff!!! lol I will have to have a 2nd person making sure she knows what shes doin

I have to give it to ya! I looked up that book and its really good!!!! def a great idea!!!!

I'm thinking about doing a gift basket sort of thing w/that book, maybe some beauty items, etc. Thanks sooo much for the help. Now I feel like less of a boring deadbeat!

OMG I was thinking the same thing when I read the cool ways people asked their bridesmaids! Wanna know what I did? I called my 3 bridesmaids and said, 'Youre gonna be a bridesmaid okay?' Couldnt get any worse than that. But its cool cause theyre all family. Like another poster said, it depends how you interact with your friends, family...

i am so not creative and i didn`t even think about it at the time.....but i was so excited about the engagement that i just said hey you are my moh you know that right to my bff and pretty much the same thing to my girls. but now that i see all the cute ways these girls did it i wanna go back in time!!! but i guess too late for that huh?!
