Does anyone else have a best friend of the opposite sex?

I do. He's been my best friend for 20 years! (Since the wee old age of 6 ) I don't really have any close girlfriends, but I treat him like one, and always have. He's like a part of my family. Him and JT get along REALLY well. He's never liked ANYONE I've dated. EVER. But him and JT are good friends, too
I was just curious if anyone else has a best friend of the opp. sex?

I do.

We're both married now. So, he hangs with my DH and I hang with his wife.

But, we were never, ever, ever, ever, 'into' each other at all...never, never, never.

I actually met him when he dated one of my former friends.

Same with us. He's what I imagine having a brother to be like. He spent a lot of time staying at my house because his family was screwed up, so he was like family from the start.

My best man was one of my best friends...to both DH and I. He introduced us!

I did for 13 years. I was even his 'best person' at his wedding. I no longer speak to them because his wife did several horrible things to me during the wedding day and claimed she knew nothing about them even though I have proof from various sources. I never said anything to him because it probably would have just backfired on me. Everyone who knew the situation said she was jealous and felt threatened by our friendship. Oh, I should add he lived two hours away and it's not like we got together all of the time or I kept dropping in on them.

I hope he is well but I haven't talked to him since that day. You really had to be there.

I do. He was my first bf at age 15. We dated for all of 5 months and have been friends for the 10 years since. He was one of DH's GMs.

FH does - she is one of our bridesmaids and her children are in our bridal party as well. In fact I told him that if he wanted her to be his 'best person' that it would be fine. He said no. No issues - I like her very much

I did in college, FI wasn't even jelous about it!!! His girlfriend was never too happy about me though... but now that I moved back to NY and he is still in Fla, we arent as close anymore maybe I should give him a call!! I miss having him around...
