Does anyone else have a BIT** of Honor??
Sorry I have to vent!!!
I took my MOH and 2 BM shopping this weekend. The dress i choose for them was discontinued so we were searching together for a new dress. I was open-minded to whatt they pulled out, but i really didn't like anything that the store had. My MOH is a size 20 so she couldn't try on any of the samples with us so i think that kinda bothered her. She was pulling out gowns for us to try on, but i didn't see anything that i liked. It was really hard to tell what looked good since everything was too small on the other girls too. Needless to say what one person liked the others didn't like.
Finally my MOH snapped at me in the middle of the store and said 'you really need to think about what we like since we have to wear this dress. why can't you bend and let us wear what we want?' I had no problem 'bending' to a compromise for a dress that we all liked. I told her flat out that it's my wedding and i need to like the dress too.
Shockingly my mother took her side and told me that i was wrong and that i need to think about them and what they want. when i choose the first BM dress- all i did was consider all their sizes. they all saw that dress and liked it. it was a simple A-line satin dress that wasn't low cut in the front and had a little sweep train in the back.
Needless to say we left the store and i was angry because i don't think i was wrong.
